Your Friendly Neighbor…on Canvas – Spiderman Recreated

Who am I you might ask? Well to keep it simple, you can say I’m an artist and designer who’s many projects and
inspiration comes from exploring the ever growing world around us.

It’s the many adventures and vast interest in learning new things that truly inspires me and my art, whether through digital or other mediums. I’m always learning new things from my favourite artist and the
world around me.

I’m always looking for new and fun ways to create beautiful things that people will enjoy. It has always been one of the true reasons why I love to create. For this project titled
Your Friendly Neighbor, comes from many of the artists that I follow every day. After seeing so many of these great and marvelous paintings of my childhood hero’s growing up
as a kid I too had to try my hand at one for myself.

I chose the Amazing Spider-man because I will always remember watching the 1981 TV show as a child. Watching the re-runs was the first introduction to spider-man as
a child growing up in the 90’s.

For this painting I used three base colors; blue, red, and white. I chose to use acrylic paints on a 10 x 20 canvas. I went with a more modern approach still maintaining the essence of the 1981 Spider-man I remembered as a kid. With the size of the canvas I decided to go with a vertical perspective and had the canvas look as if where ever it was hung Spider man was there sliding down from his web.
